The essentials
Chirblins is developed and published by Eqlium. Pet progress and preferences are kept on your computer. Connecting Twitch allows the game to process account and chat information to power community care. Diagnostic reports are sent to support only if you choose to share them.
The game has no Chirblins cloud account or cloud save service, and does not automatically upload diagnostics or include advertising or analytics SDKs.
1. Game and Twitch information
Pet progress and preferences
The game stores your pet’s name, generated identifier, species, age, needs, appearance, settings, and related saved history. It also keeps backups and departed-pet records. Names you enter may identify you if you choose to include personal details. Language, theme, text-size and motion preferences are stored in the app’s embedded browser profile.
Twitch authorization
If you connect Twitch, Chirblins processes your Twitch account ID and login name, authorization status, device/sign-in codes, and access and refresh tokens. These are used to authorize the connection, remember your session, and communicate with Twitch. Authorization happens on Twitch’s official page; Chirblins does not ask for or receive your Twitch password.
The current integration requests Twitch’s user:read:chat permission. A remembered session is saved on your computer using Windows user-account protection. Disconnecting in Chirblins clears the remembered session and attempts to revoke access with Twitch.
Chat commands and stream status
While connected, Chirblins receives Twitch chat events that can include message text, message IDs, channel and viewer IDs, and viewer names. It reads supported !pet commands so viewers can care for the pet, checks channel live status, and uses identifiers to prevent repeated commands and apply cooldowns.
Chirblins does not keep a full chat transcript. Some channel settings and a bounded list of up to 200 channel/message ID pairs are saved with the pet to prevent duplicate processing. Viewer names may appear briefly in care feedback. If you broadcast or record the overlay, that feedback can become visible to your audience. The broadcaster controls the stream and recordings.
2. Diagnostics and support
Chirblins keeps limited technical logs on your computer to help diagnose problems. These can include timestamps, application and platform versions, session identifiers, connection states, timing measurements, and predefined error categories.
The logging system is designed to exclude Twitch tokens, sign-in codes, chat content, account and pet names, personal file paths, request bodies, and raw error text. Technical reports can still reveal information about your device or how the app was used, so review them before sharing.
Choosing Download error log creates a report for you to save. It does not automatically send the report to Eqlium. If you need help, you can attach it to an email to support@chirblins.com.
When you email support, your email address, message, attachments, and any other details you include are processed to respond, troubleshoot, and keep relevant support records. Please send only information needed for your request, and never send passwords or access tokens.
3. This website
This website provides information about Chirblins and a preview of its artwork. Its page code does not include advertising, analytics, tracking cookies, visitor accounts, contact forms, or third-party embeds. Artwork, scripts, and styles are served with the site; the character preview runs in your browser and does not save your selections or send them to a server.
This website is hosted on Render. To deliver a page, your browser sends connection information to Render, such as your IP address, requested address, and browser information. Render may process access and security logs to operate and protect the website. The domain is registered through Cloudflare; domain registration alone does not mean Cloudflare receives every page request. If Cloudflare proxy or security services are enabled for the domain, those services may also process connection information to deliver and protect the site. This infrastructure is separate from the game’s on-device diagnostic logs.
Following an external link, including a Microsoft Store or Twitch link, takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. An email link opens your email application; it does not submit a message until you send it.
5. Where information is kept and for how long
By default, Chirblins saves game data under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Chirblins on your Windows account. A custom data directory can be selected when launching the app. The embedded browser profile is kept in a WebView2 subfolder of that directory.
- Pet saves, backups and archived pet records remain on your device until you remove them. Starting a new egg does not necessarily remove previous records.
- Remembered Twitch credentials remain until you disconnect, they are cleared after invalidation, or you remove the saved session. An uninstall is not a guarantee of deletion.
- Diagnostics are bounded rather than kept as an unlimited history. The disk log rotates at approximately 256 KiB, retaining one previous log; in-memory event lists are also limited. Rotation depends on new activity rather than a fixed number of days.
- Downloaded reports remain wherever you saved them until you delete them.
- Support correspondence is retained as reasonably needed to answer your request, investigate related issues, maintain relevant support records, and meet applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion by email.
- Website infrastructure logs are subject to the hosting service’s retention practices. Contact support for information about a specific website privacy concern.
Closing or uninstalling Chirblins does not automatically erase AppData, browser profiles, backups, exported reports, support emails, or recordings made by other people.
6. Your choices, access and privacy requests
You can disconnect Twitch in Chirblins and remove Chirblins from Twitch Settings → Connections to revoke authorization. If Twitch cannot confirm a revocation from the app, use Twitch’s own settings.
You control whether to export a diagnostic report and whether to send it to support. You also control whether your pet’s overlay is included in a broadcast or recording.
You can access saved game files in your data directory. If you want to remove that data, close Chirblins first and keep a backup of any progress you wish to retain. Deleting pet files or the browser profile can permanently remove progress and preferences; it is not required as a routine troubleshooting step.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a copy of information, withdraw consent, or contact a privacy regulator. To make a request concerning information held by Eqlium, email support@chirblins.com. Please describe your request without including passwords or tokens. Reasonable verification may be needed before information is disclosed or changed.
Requests about data held independently by Twitch, Microsoft, your email provider, or a broadcaster should also be directed to that service or person. Eqlium cannot remotely access or delete files that exist only on your computer.
7. How information is protected
Twitch requests use encrypted network connections. Saved Twitch tokens are protected using Windows DPAPI for your Windows user account. The app uses loopback services on your computer to connect its dashboard and overlay.
Pet saves and downloaded reports are not encrypted by Chirblins. Protect your Windows account, device, backups and email. No software, storage system or network connection can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Younger users
Chirblins does not ask players to submit a date of birth or create a Chirblins account. Use of Twitch, Microsoft Store and other third-party services is subject to their own age and account requirements. Avoid putting personal information in pet names, chat commands or support messages. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support that should be removed, contact us.
